In this talk, organized against the backdrop of the third chapter of Nalini Malani’s three part retrospective titled 'You Can’t Keep Acid in a Paper Bag', Ashish Rajadhyaksha, who has been closely engaged with Malani’s practice over the years, reviewed and discussed her work. He mapped out her artistic journey and steered the conversation through key concerns of her oeuvre with a condensed categorization. Earmarking her landmark works and exhibitions, he delineated her addressal of significant issues, impetus behind the exploration of distinct technologies and genesis of distinctive mediums, exigency of socio political situations and evident shifts in her art practice.
